Join Professor Cushing from the University of Toledo as he describes how and why the remarkable James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) was designed\, constructed\, and launched\, and shares some of its most exciting discoveries to date — from the first galaxies 13 billion years ago to the search for life beyond our solar system. After the lecture\, step outside for a guided Star Party with Professor Cushing and local astronomy partners. View the Moon\, Jupiter\, star clusters\, and distant galaxies through telescopes for a night you won’t forget. \nThe lecture will take place at Clinton Elementary School (115 Milwaukee Rd.) in the front gym. The star party will follow at the elementary school football field around 8:30pm and you are welcome to come and go until 10:00pm. \nThis will take place on Tuesday\, April 21 with a rain/cloud date of April 22. \nFree to attend and anyone is welcome!
