An elderly rural Rock County appears poised to take a plea deal in a child pornography case.
70-year-old James Cobleigh of Spring Valley is charged in Rock County Court with 10 counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of possession of virtual child pornography.
According to online court records, a plea and sentencing is scheduled before Rock County Judge Jeffrey Kuglitsch on July 9th at 1:15 p.m.
Prosecutors say Cobleigh possessed more than 5000 images and videos of prepubescent children being sexually assaulted, and that he had been sending and receiving child sexual assault material as far back as 2011.
Cobleigh remains free on a $1,000 signature bond.
