HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING

On the final day of the Illinois Boys Class 1A State

Wrestling Tournament at the University of Illinois

in Champaign, LeWin/Stockton came home with

four (4) individual medals yesterday. Eli Larson won

the State championship in the 190-pound weight division.

Jeremiah Luke took 2nd at 285-pounds. Oliver McPeek

ended up 3rd at 215-pounds. And at 144-pounds

Arrison Bauer brought home 5th place.

BOYS HIGH SCHOOL SWIMMING

Freeport was in Byron yesterday for the Illinois Boys 

High School Sectional swimming meet. The Pretzels

Tristan Peterson won the diving competition…breaking

both Sectional and pool records in the process. 

Dean Hartman of Freeport took first place in the

100 Meter backstroke. Both Peterson and Hartman will

advance to the State finals next weekend in Westmont.
