A 51-year-old Beloit man is dead, and a 41-year-old Beloit man is injured in a shooting early Thursday morning.
Beloit police say officers were dispatched to a residence on the 1500 block of White Avenue around 3 a.m. for a report of a shooting.
One man was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Another man transported himself to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Beloit police say it was an isolated incident involving a group of individuals who were together prior to the shooting.
Officers are looking to make contact with any witnesses to help identify the suspect.
