JUNIOR COLLEGE GOLF
The Highland Cougars men’s golf team began play yesterday
in round 1 of the Skyhawk Classic in Dixon. After yesterday’s
18 holes, Highland is in 3rd place out of the 14 teams with a
score of 10-over-par. The Cougars trail second place
Blackhawk by 5 strokes, and are 9 strokes behind the leader
Illinois Central. Highland was led yesterday by Luis Duffy
who fired a 1-over-par 72 which has him tied for 5th place
individually. The second and final round will be played today
at Timber Creek Golf Course in Dixon.
